What is Life Coaching?
Life coaching is a wellness approach to life management that provides guidance and support to individuals seeking greater fulfillment in their lives. Life coaches help their clients in numerous ways, including improving their careers, relationships, and day-to-day lives. Life coaching differs from psychotherapy in that it deals with populations who are experiencing life dissatisfaction and seeking guidance with maximizing their potential, whereas psychotherapy addresses more clinical concerns, including depression, anxiety and trauma.
Life coaches assist clients with goal setting, identification of barriers to success, and decision-making, along with developing strategies for overcoming obstacles. By creating these strategies, life coaches target a client’s unique skills and gifts. By helping clients make the most of their strengths, life coaches provide the support needed to achieve lasting improvement.
